CALAMITY JANE
ALL THE WAY FROM THE WILD WEST COUNTRY
Look out! She’s rough, she’s tough, and she’s mean (and a little bit desperate). She’s hard but inside she has a heart of gold and finding a boyfriend is not that easy. She’d love to stand by her man but she’s having trouble finding one.
Calamity has been practicing in her bedroom to impress Wild Willy, the man of her dreams.
Lassoing, knife throwing, line dancing and changing into a lady are her wily ways into Wild Willy’s heart. She may even sing you her special song if you’re lucky.
She leaves the audience waving their arms with a song in their hearts and a smile on their faces. Will she ever get her man? Calamity and her best mate Lightning have been whip crackin’ away across plains (Winchester Hat Fair), up mountains (Mintfest) and even in the big windy city (Old Vic Tunnels – London) and Dublin YeeeeeeeHaaaaaa!
Solo street (30 mins), cabaret (10 mins) and compere.
‘Calamity Jane proved a hit within the St Patrick’s Festival (Dublin). . . a solo performance which caught the audience’s attention from the outset, as they empathised with the character, laughed along with the gags and . . . were rootin’ for her to find her man’.
