Continental Drifts director Mel Wilds was selected as one of five creative producers for Showtime, a London-wide programme of work taking Festival 2012 into all 33 London boroughs. Working with the GLA and LOCOG, the producers curated five programmes of international and local performances as well as interactive games across the Capital.
“Mel’s knowledge of the arts sector coupled with her hands-on approach made her an ideal choice. Music, dance and theatre were woven together in an elaborate spectacle that visited every London borough. Mel’s patience, technical competency, clarity of mind, communication skills and her ability to solve anything thrown at her were key to the project’s success. Moreover, Mel cares about people and the projects she works on and I would highly recommend her.” Will Glendinning, Allium
